Isabelle is a French lyricist who has written for numerous recording artists. Among them are Johnny Hallyday, Gregory Lemarchal, Cyril Cinelu, Christopher Stills, Davide Esposito and Pablo Alborán.
Isabelle wrote the lyrics to the hit song Meme si (French adaptation of the song What you’re made of from Lucie Silvas’s Grammy – winning album Breath in), as well as the top ten single Restons amis from Gregory Lemarchal’s album La voix d’un Ange .
She wrote the lyrics to the single Ce qui me touche performed by Christopher stills who played the role of Caesar in the musical production of Cleopatra.
Isabelle wrote the lyrics to 2 songs “N’en vouloir a personne” and ” Refaire l’histoire“, for Johnny Hallyday’s Album “L’attente” ( Warner Music, 2012), produced by Yvan Cassar.
In 2014 she wrote the lyrics to 4 songs for the new Johnny Hallyday album ” Rester Vivant” (Warner Music) produced by Don Was. Among them are the first 2 singles “Regarde nous” and ” Seul“, as well as 2 other songs “Rester Vivant” and ” Si j’avais su la vie“.
Most recently Isabelle wrote the lyrics to 2 songs for Pablo Alborán’s French album including the single “Ne m’oublie pas”.
Isabelle Bernal has been collaborating for over 7 years with notable composers such as Remi Lacroix, Davide Esposito, Blair Mackichan, David Ford, Daran and Pablo Alborán.

bonjour Isabelle,
J’ai accompagnée jusqu’àla dernière seconde ma grande sœur décédée le 15/11/2017 de la même maladie que Johnny.
Nous l’avons incinérée le 22/11/2017. je suivais l’évolution de la santé de Johnny car j’avais compris que son état se dégradait de la même manière… Puis il est mort. Alors j’ai entendu “Si tu pars”… Écoutant peu depuis de nombreuses année les chansons de Johnny, je ne la connaissais pas… fais quelques recherches et j’ai découvert “seul”. Comme Christophe-andre, j’ai été bouleversée… je l’ai reconnue elle, seule, face à sa propre mort, et je me suis reconnue moi maintenant seule face à son départ… je l’écoute, je bois ces mots qui résonnent en moi. cette chanson est la chanson qui m’unit désormais à ma sœur. Merci Infiniment.
